Left A Book Poem by Catherine Casey

Left A Book

Left a book of poems
And songs on which to ponder.
To carry on the thoughts
Of someone here no longer.

Discovering a mindset
And only scratch the surface.
However, left the sentiment, -
From heart to heart a furnace.

We only see one angle
Eyes rooted on a path.
Step aside and look around
Like maze that has giraffe.

Generations come and go.
Their basic needs don't cease.
The want for love and happiness.
The search for inner peace.

To have our own agenda
As children brings destruction.
Employ the ways of Jesus.
Most solid in construction.

The God who lives forever
His plan to save mankind.
The sting of death abolished
For those who have a mind.

To love and worship him
The one from whom we came.
Prepared for us - the banquet.
Our sins - he took the blame.

Accept him as your saviour.
And read of all he said.
Behave just as he asks.
Receive his daily bread.

We'll meet you in the air
When trumpet blast is sounded.
A rendezvous most certain.
In Jesus we are founded.
