Learn To Love Me Poem by Rolonda Walls

Learn To Love Me

My love has never changed
But in this relationship
I constantly feel pain
The little side talk
The silent treatment
And unanswered questions
Pulls at many of my strings
But if love don’t hurt
Then the love isn’t true
Then Love is not love
Neither is it true love
Emotions triggers
The moisture
Dense tears down my face
The race of understanding
And time too much to think
Struggling on how
Im going to figure out
Why my baby is mad at me
What is it I did wrong?
What can I do to make it better?
But the dull reply
Of nothing
Traces the sneaky
Held inside of him
And assuming
I questions
Or the frown on his face
The speed of his heart
Im in pain
Im in sorrow
I don’t want to lose
What I didn’t borrow
He is mine
His tears I saw
And wiped from his face
His pain I felt and
In my arms
His pain slips slowly away
In my arms
He promise to stay
So when I cried
His finger swept across my face
He smile always made me okay
And when I felt pain
He assured me of those days
He overprotects me
Like money in a safe
He is mine
And together shall we stay
In my arms
Late at night he lays
He holds me tight
And every inch of him
I feel
Every kiss
Always forgives
He is mine
And no other shall feel this way
