Leaning Poem by D A Phinney

Leaning

Leaning there together
Remember
All things stand alone
Empty of purpose
Save to change that one
Condition
So stand all things
The night the day
Valley and hill
Sea and sky
Mother father
You and I
Have know this
All before
And yet
Through all these
Millennia
Your journey had been mine
And I have
Kissed your countless faces
And you have
Sometimes sought my comfort
But always
You have found
One must stand
Alone
Therefore stand
For you must
Find your heart
Your heart must find
Its home
Your home
I am there
In this way
You are not
Alone
My love
