1.

How he made her angry
Was not how the story's fashioned
Things are never as they seem
The realest is most imagined
...

Now there are several dimensions to love;
Seeing's inadequate, too much is missed.
If only seeing were needed to prove,
Eyes would be open and light would be kissed.
...

I gave up writing, laid the pen aside;
I put away philosophy and doubt;
Scorned religion, passion's fire gone proud;
Bagged all logic up and threw it out.
...

The cost of every tear you shed
Was dearer than my wounded heart could hold.
To keep alive what should be dead
...

Come with me
Let us meet in transcendence
Let us move up the spiral in a transcendent dance
Feel the serpentine energy take us in a synaptic leap
...

Violets are blue. Roses? Just dead.
Our side glances ask: which heart came out ahead?

And the wet morning mist somehow amps up the tone
...

when in the course of human events
have we ever relied on common sense?
four score and seven pass away
only to see our glory fray;
...

the clogging humanscent
which breaks the tomb
of wraithan dynasties of life
fighting down the blistered steps
...

You think you're hot, but I'm the one
Who set the fuse and lit the sun.
'Let light now BE! ' I shouted, too.
It let me see-but blinded you.
...

Daddy's booming again
He's got the Bad Bottle Mommy hates
It makes her voice turn scary
Like screams
...

He's always busy naming things
But she likes to feel them
Wafting up inside her nose
Or hugging her with green intensity
...

12.

'Cheese Louise! ' exclaims High Sally.
'Nacho, ' replies Slick Dark,
'You gotta keep a corduroy
Or he wanders away.'

Sleep young darling, those bright eyes must not see
What I really am: the darkness that is me.
Those lips must not devour, only kiss;
That flesh touch not mere happiness, but bliss.
...

Between the kisses
Between the whispers
Something fell open
Like a dropped diary
...

15.

I was the child who ran from the cave
Out to the light out to be saved
Where is my savior borne of the sun
This is for killing this is for fun
...

I knew that you could help me
But you only let me down
Well you took off in your airplane
Left me here on the ground
...

The broken drains and dirty spoons,
Food spattered on the wall;
On coffee grounds and Kool-Aid stains
I stumble down the hall.
...

18.

If you are a woman,
I have always wanted to be in there deeper than your skin
I have wanted to breathe your air, your scent like incense
I have longed to feel my hardness surrounded and defined by
...

Leaning there together
Remember
All things stand alone
Empty of purpose
...

They travel
The three of them
According to secret charts
Mysterious tables and ledgers
...

How he made her angry
Was not how the story's fashioned
Things are never as they seem
The realest is most imagined
Does she the softest whisper of
Her heart to neighbor nextdoor tell
Over the morning washing
By noon it's fullest in the ear
Of informed people everywhere
By evening it's become a yell
And nighttime finds her slashing
The throat of her lover
And shouting so they all can hear
It's over It's over
