Leaning Against Joy Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Leaning Against Joy

Pure light in her presence
untouched beauty reflected
to kiss such perfect promise
creating hours of miracles
performed upon wonder
arousal and expectations
as twilight finished wandering
within an untouched light…
Then darkness dropped
its trace of you
parting you
composing
desires hidden
in anticipations
of flesh as pure as
touch and silence dissolved
upon nature's breasts; warm
like hope, leaning against joy…
