Lazy Little Eyes Poem by Melikhaya Zagagana

Lazy Little Eyes

Me and lazy eyes, that attitude i hate;
While the brain works little rascals
Want to close and sleep.
Even yesterday these round things twitched,
But today I shall allow nothing of that.
They glance each other and shut the light.
They know I love to sleep but not at work.
All day they hurry me home to bed,
And now they want to sink in holes.
Treacherous little things must watch and wait.
Here they squint, here they blink but vague I see.
Let me lie a little and hasten to wake.
