Lay Me Down Poem by Casey Renee Kiser / snail viXen

Lay Me Down

I've split my heart
I spill my brains
Everything IS NOT okay
but

Lay me down
just the same
I've been trained
to deal with the worst
of the shadow narcissists

I've bled my silence
I ride my shame
Everything IS NOT okay
but

Lay me down
just the same
I've been trained
to deal with the deepest
of the shallow sleeping
