Laws Of Resilience Poem by Euloge Ishimwe

Laws Of Resilience

I woke up in the embrace of panic
For the night was long and frantic
But I chivalrously collected my armament
Fearless as ever in readiness for deployment

Throughout the constant wave of terror
My daily struggles warrant a state of horror
But my unsinkable spirit keeps me afloat
My fall is usually short-lived, my foes need not gloat

In the book of resilience I am the model
The spineless ones will forever marvel
At my inflexible will to be a luminary
I am an icon and my deeds are legendary

Though circumstances may push me to vacate
I control the steering wheel of my fate
I won’t quit until I make a couple of million
My indelible name will never go into oblivion
