Laundry Day Poem by Gary Colton

Laundry Day

Swish swash, swish swash,
Its laundry day
And I've clothes to wash.
The machine spins off
And memories tossed,
So clothes come clean
Out of the wash.
Clean for now
But at a cost,
The grime has gone
But the memories lost!
To the dull, drumming groan
Of swish swash, swish swash.

A funny write. You have written a such corner of life which is untouched by most of the poets.
