Last Week Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Last Week

Last week one day that I was mildly happy
I watched a documentary on Cezanne
The cat devoured a little squeaking mouse
Seven patients died of Covid locally
A toddler's brother beat her up for fun
Four snowdrops pierced the iron, icy ground
Home learned limped along with shackled feet
A cheerful crow near Asda found a bun
