I wrote for you that friend of mine
It was not meant to make you cry
It was done to help you get by

Little did we know then?
Our time was limited as friends
This one is my last goodbye
I write it with tears in my eyes

That bubbly smiling cherished friend
I will miss you I will not pretend
We met so many years ago
Just how many I don’t know

Mike just what can I say
Your lovely lass has gone away
You will meet again in some far of land
And walk along hand in hand
