Last Date Of 2009

It began like any other
but it ended like no other.
I prayed for the rains of love, after all it was the season of romance.
She prayed for the showers to drop, she wanted it to be the perfect night.
Picked her up at 8p.m
our date was to last till the a.m
booked a cab that i couldnt afford the things love will drive a man to do.
Went to arcades the place we had chosen but just the sight of the place and i knew it was not the best of choice.
Roamed around trying to find our thing and fit in,
the movies were closed we were to late, outside the windows the food looked great but the food joints were closed.
going...Back where we were from when the night was already so young My heart some how didnt seem to approve of that.
Argued about where to go at the end we decided it was best to go back home.
Got on another cab i couldnt afford again the things a woman will make a man do.
Got to the bridge and i made us dropp off.
She didnt seem please climbing to the top but then again i had no choice...Cause i was already broke!
We talked as we walked but i didnt hear what she was saying cause my mind was wondering how the hell i could waste all that money for nothing!
When I asked her what she had said but she refused to say..Maybe she had read my thoughts.
At a park bench i made us sit next to each other, flesh colliding, i listend as she talked...With all my heart.
Laughing at her jokes, she eventualy talked about her previous heartbreak.
I saw tears in her eyes but she held them back.
The rains began to dropp maybe this was our moment.Showers of love i wish that was true.I gave her my hood to keep her warm.As we left the bench going to her place.
Bought her some takeaway i didnt mind this time around.
We sat outside the gate when we got to her place.
I took a hold of her hand and began to read her palm telling her about her life.
She smiIed at this attempt, i said something she liked, but she refused to áccept it but i knew she was brushing.
She looked away trying to hide this and in that moment i took a peck at her cheek. She smiled so beautfully i knew love was in the air..
The rains showered down as i took a hold of her chin...And looked straight in the eyes. She was tøo shy to look back at me.
When i looked at the watch it was already 11p.m.
I stood up to embrace her.A delicate hug to soft that she cozyly fitted in my chest.l wanted her to feet the effect.
I let her go and made us face eàch other how strange that moment felt.i asked if i would kiss her neck and before she would say yes my lips were already caressing her neck and my nose smelling the sweet scent from her skin.
She giggled and let me play there a little.
I stopped before things got out of hand.yes before things got of Hand.
I sayd Goodnight and let go of her hand. I watched her go inside with a smile on her face and me rejuvenated... Maybe all that möney i wasted on taxis was worthywhile.
Me and yo u forever with each other i seem to say to myself i walked back to my room.
