Lands End Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Lands End

Rating: 5.0

Lands End (geographical spot, it lies in the Northern part of Noord-Holland, see Google Map)

One stormy day
I was in Lands End
next to it was the sea
the Wadden Sea
It was the end of the land/ground where we stay
if you move a little
you will meet the end
of Noord-Holland, you are standing on Lands End
or
the end of where you stand
that you are at the end of the northern point of Noord-Holland
Lands End, really the end of that piece of ground/land

you will enjoy the wild waters of the Wadden sea
beneath your feet, just beneath me

But the view is of the greatest beauty
then the peaceful land
then the stormy sea
the true end of Northern Netherlands
the most northern point of Noord-Holland
above the Wadden sea

the first time I stood there
I had to cling to a street lantern
or iron block
I felt numb
deaf and dumb
and paralysed.
What's your advice?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Lands End truly exists, it lies on the northern part of Nederland, just above the Wadden sea, if your legs are not strong, you will fall in the Wadden sea, since the winds are very rough and hardest, if you stand there, you must hold an iron bock or streetlantern, otherwise you may fall in the Wadden sea, you can visit the Wadden sea islands with the boats especially to visit the Wadden sea islands, a very panoramic view, please pay a visit, you will never regret
