Landmine Poem by Balint Nagy

Landmine

What's left of me?
Please answer me:
If there's a grave inside my heart;
How can I show any sign of lie?

Oh my god, how did I become this toxic?
Waste away a lifetime is not an option
Are you ready hammer the nail into my coffin?

Landmine,
Comes often in men's life
Discover the landmarks
Falling into the dark
Milestones
On our way to find home
We make some tombstones
Becoming the heroes

What's left of me?
No remorse, no sympathy
I tried to seek, but it's too hard to see
The euphoria, the harmony
In this cacophony

Oh my god, how did I become this toxic?
Waste away a lifetime is not an option
Are you ready hammer the nail into my coffin?

Landmine,
Comes often in men's life
Discover the landmarks
Falling into the dark
Milestones
On our way to find home
We make some tombstones
Becoming the heroes

But,

How can I show any sign of life?
When there's a grave inside my heart
So,
Pull me close
And twist your knife
Drag me to hell
I know heaven's a lie
