Land To Land Poem by Stewie Johnson

Land To Land

Rating: 5.0

Trembling before the stone pillar,
Life given a breath,
Falling to its knees with a whimper,
Giving in to a travelling power,
Determined but under control,
Light flashes from a blade to the rivers edge,
The lands beyond within reach,
More life to look upon as a whimper,
Trails made with fire and ash,
Above the world is grey,
Telling the story,
The cold throws a sharp wind,
Enough to bruise the strongest mountain,
Rich in force,
A roar goes up,
Defeated lands,
Conquered hearts,
Conquered minds,
Stand above the ground with fear,
The master raises the shining blade,
The stench of freedom offends the master,
Fast heartbeats at the front,
Calm heartbeats at the back,
All mankind will fall in line
