Land Of The Queen Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Land Of The Queen

A soldier pines for Angleterre
Away from the war zone's murky air...
In meadows of daisies in homely Kent
Is where his youthful days were spent.
Love shineth there in Angleterre
Where folk are kind and full of care,
And birds fly over a peaceful scene...
Yes! His heart belongs to the
'Land Of The Queen'.

(Angleterre is the
European
name for England)
