Lamentations Of A Rock Poem by Jayanath Silva

Lamentations Of A Rock

A maiden in white
sails over my black
when all world
was taking
a lunch time nap
softly touched down
over my eagerness
the heat was searing
N the throbbing
Incessant
in her heart
The muses
of the wind
isn’t drown our whispers
a mangled veil
and softness revealed
took away my pains
for a moments bliss
you took me to heavens
for an eternal kiss
her partying tears
make real my fears
she was wild and free
and crazy over me
it’s sadness inside
prisoner of guilt
innocence and hurt
written across my heart

my warmth is
but a passing breeze
and I wail for you
for another embrace
a lifetime of pain
in sunshine or rain
