Lack Of Emotions Poem by Ray Hansell

Lack Of Emotions

Rating: 5.0

She said, when a couple breaks up
In public, few men if any cry
She looked at me with a puzzled look
Then asked, can you explain why?

She said that most women
In a break up do shed tears
They put their emotions out there
Without hesitation or fear

But men hide their emotions
Keep them locked onside
She said, that in private
That probably when men cry

Hey Ray, I really enjoyed this poem. I've often thought about the differences in emotion between men and women. I liked the fact that the last word of the first stanza rhymes with the last word of the third stanza. Interesting.
