Knit Together Poem by Chris Jibero

Knit Together

Sun comes to the East
Early in the morning
Wearing a vivacious smile
Seeking Earth's hand
In matrimony
Readily granted

He jealously dissolves
Every darkness in ambush
To seduce his prize
As he leads her
To his love nest
In the west
In the evening
To consumate their union

And they awake the same second
Each morning that follows
A refreshed and cheerful couple
Knit together in love
And what God joins together
Let no man put asunder.
