Kiss Poem by Gabriel Rodriguez

Kiss

The tables turned
Oh it burned
I want to return
Now I'll learn,
Now I'll learn

Redemption

I'm sorry your father went to prison
I'm sorry for mother is no longer living
I'm sorry your brother is getting caught in the system
And to you, I'm sorry I left you heart broken

Cracks lie in crosses along your heart
Drifting slowly until they finally tear apart
The pain will flow, grow, and know the dark
Light up your heart before it can spark

A fire that can't be put out
A soul that cannot be doused
A freedom that won't sprout
A sky that will fall from clouds

Lord, I owe you so
Come collect my soul
Cause we know
They won't let go

The people that love me
The people whose blood is in me
Lord you know they'd keep hold
Its time to let them go

I shouldn't be saved
For the sins I carry
Hold a toll to pay
Once I'm dead and buried

If only I loved you once more
If only I showed you care
If only you could feel my core
If only you knew I'd be there

Where is my redemption
How do I make up for breaking you
Where is my conception
A fruit of life to give to you

The tables burn and won't be tamed
The pianos tune sings your name
So much was lost nothing was gained
Test of the heart drive me insane

Oh no, lord, once more
Oh no, please, let go
Oh no, don't take me from this
Oh no, let me fall into the abyss

It starts with a kiss
It starts with a kiss

Meant for you, caught in her bliss
Meant for you, touching her lips
Meant for you, holding her hips

It starts with a kiss
It starts with a kiss
