Kintsugi Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Kintsugi

Rating: 5.0

Some crumpled pictures
Thrown in trash
I picked them up
Arranged the stash

I saw my smiles
Crisscrossed
With lines
Stories of yore
And broken ties

Yellowed out paper
Colours did fade
Fresh memories
In heart, have stayed.

Pictures from past
Shadows did cast
Wrinkles I've earned
Milestones I've passed

pictures from our past personify another life another time, youth flushed smiles time age focus defined, pictures life emotions decades milestones moments outlined; so many nice yet haunting memories flood our retrospect past
