Kingdomdownfall Poem by Dorsey Baker

your bullets have penetrated my
fortress walls you have
invaded my kingdom
you have killed the spirit
of my weapons
you have buried
many beasts in many lands
now you have come for me
the sword of your tongue
is sharp
and your mighty fighting men
they have come to slay
all my human stock
I am now at your mercy
the flag of surrender
held high in my right hand
and I now my head in defeat
and pray that I should live
to fight another day
