He has become a great source of inspiration
For many in the developing world
He has shown that it is possible
To get to the top of one's game
No matter where one comes from

He did not move to a more prosperous country
To pursue his career as is the norm
But remained put in his country
Training with basic equipment and a rudimentary track

He is admired and loved
By many brothers and sisters in the developing world
For they can identify with him
His upbringing, his life story
Makes that connection with many of them

He has become the embodiment of their dreams
He makes them proud
His success is their success
For they feel he is kindred spirit
