Kindred, Blood, Spirit Pt 2 (5 Years Later) Poem by Vision Ghost

All has gone now to silence and I’m alone with my thoughts
Your little giggles, jokes and words echoes to me of all sorts
The way we played in the park and everything so fascinating
Yet such a tender soul still so young could be so envisioning

Days are now for me flashing by yet time for you is forever
Always enough to say one thing more and reach an endeavour
For everything you say; everything you do; to me is a surprise
Before you fall asleep after the sunset with magic in your eyes

Though so innocent of cares and fears only so much excitement
To fill these little days of wonder with boundless enlightenment
Yet I know these moments like these would be forever in limit
And leaving you to this world is a fear I shall care not to admit

Already questions come as you start writing answers in the sand
Growing fast and inquisitive of what’s in this world and this land
Yet I know I am not forever, for now I shall be the one to be strong
A world barbaric and cruel; I can only cotton coat this for so long

I have to come to the point when one day I must eventually let go
As the time will come when with your own seeds you shall sow
Fruition and your safety abound as one day I must go to mortality
And I can only pray my wisdom bestowed; you find lands of fertility

Even now as the thought fairs tears and catches me without the air
I have to swallow hard to keep this to myself, even if it’s so unfair
To think that there must be tears if I am to pass when I leave love
Hopefully I’ll remain your guardian even upon the wings of a dove

The sun fades and so night sets in as my thoughts linger on and on
You talk in your sleep but I fail to catch the words that were spoken
Still so young and yet time has passed and still so free from sorrow
Please keep dreaming pure angel as then we play again tomorrow
