Keep Me Moored To The Harbour Poem by David Clinch

Keep Me Moored To The Harbour

Keep me moored to the harbour,
Don't let this vessel shift.
Unless you are coming with me,
Don't let me float adrift.

Night clouds are approaching,
A shimmer turns to grey.
I wait till darkness breaks
At the dawning of the day.

Time now seems to me like loss
A frisson, a fear, please stay
The touch and feel of memory
In my dreams just slips away.

Keep me moored to the harbour,
Don't let this vessel shift.
Unless you are coming with me,
Don't let me float adrift.

The touch and feel of memory
In my dreams just slip away.

The touch and feel of memory
In my dreams just slip away
