Just Keep Smiling Poem by Amanda Austin

Just Keep Smiling

You're walking my way so I force out a smile,
though it feels so fake
When you call my name I make my voice cheerful,
though it sounds so strained
When you tell me the good news, I hug you and say 'I love you',
though I feel myself breaking inside
I could never tell you how I really feel,
though my heart is begging me to
So I'll just keep smiling, even if it's the last thing I do
