Just Because Poem by Laurene Roup

Just Because

You told me before that you cared
But every time I need you, you're never there
I walk through the halls with my head down
I never looking in to the stares
I don't want to hear
Any of their lies
But I always seem to believe yours
And my heart ends up broken
From every time your hurt settles in
Yet I always forgive you
Don't ask how I can
I can't explain why
Because it's never part of the plan
Why do you do such things to me
You make me think
Because of you I feel dark
Because of you i have an eternal mark
I thought we'd be together forever
But I guess my forever turned into never
You taught me to be me
Something no one else can see
I hate you, I love you
I finally can't stand to be without you
And here I am
Writing things I went through
I will love you no matter what
Because when you left
It's my heart you kept.
