Memories come to haunt me
of the day you died and left me.
Are you happy up in heaven?
How I long to see my love again.
Oft' I am filled with wonder
in a spell of woe I'm under...
when will I ascend to heaven
for to see my love again?

Unspoken thoughts possess me
sudden fears and doubts rush o'er me.
If you die when you're in heaven
then we will 'never' meet again.
Nevermore, oh nevermore
no matter where I wander
my soul may sink within the pain
for if in heaven we die again
to search for you would be in vain.
