Just A Dream Poem by Evelyn Salvia

Just A Dream

As I walk through the snowy night holding his hand,

I look back to see our footprints in the white mass,

it was as if we were traveling along a faraway land.

Soon realizing my one true fate at last.

Everything was just a dream.

something hits the ground and crashes,

it blows behind us and nearly kills,

and we ran together in fright of the flashes,

he grabs me and it sends a chill.

Everything was just a dream.

Thinking you survived,

Still running away from the illumination,

we had arrived,

The safest and darkest location.

His eyes beam,

we were safe.

Everything was just a dream,

Then another one,

knowing the fault was mine,

death had finally won,

ahead of his time.

Everything was just a dream...
