June Has The Loveliest Smile Poem by Francis Duggan

June Has The Loveliest Smile

It is true that a smile does not cost one a thing
And a flutter of joy to someone else it might bring
June she spreads joy when walking on the street
She smiles and says hello to everyone she does meet
Her husband John last year of cancer from life passed away
As the love of her life in her mind he will stay
For as long as she will live her love for him she will retain
The death of a loved one gives rise to mental pain
John was two years older than June she is now twenty five
In her memories of him he is well and alive
She carries her sorrows with bravery and grace
And she always does have a big smile on her face
A beautiful woman of shoulder length raven hair and eyes of light brown
June has the loveliest smile in the town.
