Judging Our Future Judges Poem by Arno Le Roux

Judging Our Future Judges

Judging Our Future Judges

Freezing beggars with helpless cold stares shook
Widows tears puddle a single soup to cook
Orphans outside a busy toyshop inward look
Sunday morning business men proudly clutch the Book

Freezing beggars handed a single packet soup
Widows weep those older winters and inward look
Orphans guided silently by men of old inside the Book
Sunday morning business men ignore cold stares who shook

Freezing beggars by a fire inward look
Widows queue as names read from the Book
Orphans covered by wings to block their shook
Sunday morning business men ignore what others cook

When we judge another with cold stares shook
When we ignore a future winter with less to cook
When we look the other way and not inward look
When we race to church and don't see our future Book

One thousand beliefs refuse other's hand to shook
As we judge others who in future our meals may cook
We ignore music winged ones play to inward look
If we live long enough to understand the Book
