Joy And Rejoicing Poem by Gary James Smith

Joy And Rejoicing

Rating: 5.0

Joy And Rejoicing

Joy and rejoicing are in my heart
For there have I hid Thy Word
It has become my meat and my drink
And a wonderful Salvation It's assured
A rock solid faith based upon the Rock
Remember...the stone was rolled away
And Christ was not there
For He had arisen
What a glad and what a glorious day!

Joy and rejoicing are in my heart
For now the Holy Spirit lives within
With a constant Companion such as He
I can now have victory over sin
Faith has birthed a new fear of God
His Righteousness the cloke I now wear
Put a guard before my mouth that I would not utter
One word that would disappoint You here

Joy and rejoicing are in my heart
Hallelujah...Praise God...Amen!
There's a new song ringing deep withing
Because I've been forgiven my sins
With a joy unspeakable and full of glory
My insides now know a new me
For I've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb
It cleansed as it washed over me!

Joy and rejoicing are in my heart
For now the joy of the Lord is my strength
I'm standing strong in His power and might
And will continue to do so at length
For Christ will never leave or never forsake me
A promise based upon God's holy Word
Have I not a Rock solid faith or what?
Of that my friend...I'm most definetly assured!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
