Jogging For My Love Poem by Ernest Elliot Daka

Jogging For My Love

And she asks me why I like going jogging
Well, it's like this and it's like that!
You see, outside the air is fresh
As I run, the air whistle past me, so fresh
It leaves me feeling so free and so healthy
It's like being touched by you all over
Such mind boggling ecstasy

Now the leaves and flowers smell so good
As I run, the whiff of fresh fauna is sweet
The soft morning breeze carries it to meet me
So I close my eyes to take it all in
Instead it feels like the fresh smell of your body
In my mind's eye, I see you step out of the shower
And the amazing aroma of your body is maddening

Looking along my jogging route today
So many happy people jogging like I am
They are men and they are women
Some are quietly running their jog
But others are talking and laughing and jogging
Yet I hear us jogging and talking and laughing
So breathlessly and so in love, we are

Yes you see now why I love to jog
To me you're here and you're there
For jogging you're always here close to me
And my mind is fed with endless images of love
The love of you in provocative sensual motions
I look as you jog, teasingly running and laughing
You look back at me and I melt with desire of love
And now I shout, Good morning my darling, my love!
