Jasmine Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Jasmine

A go for love would be to fathom my codes
Resembling intersecting roads,
I am not easy.
I led many hearts astray, left them weary.
Don’t find what’s lost,
Or feel what’s running amok.
Is it my generous silence?
Or my stagnant beauty?
Fervent tries, oh I merely wince;
words die eternally.
I cover myself in metrical compositions,
but I’m not a delusion
I know I’m your discreet phantom.
