January 21,2016 Poem by Lauren Harper

I may be your match but you are my gasoline.
when we touch we burn destroying everything.
People say that it began with a spark,
but what they didn't tell you is it ended catastrophically
it's often said that they felt a burning sensation inside
this magnetic reaction
this "meant to be"
too bad it was only false security.
this spark was nothing but adrenaline
he desired touch,
she gave him everything.
only then did she learn this wasn't eternity
he her kryptonite.
she his Clark.
just think it started as a "spark"
Then went up in flames,
igniting everything
The forest lush with foliage now burned to the ground.
smouldering beauty and fallen crown.
you're meant to be will destroy absolutely everything.
