I know a gentleman you know
whose eyes are on you

The things he says about you

He says he loves you
And that he deems no wrong
To fall in love with you
To sing you a love song

These words that follow
are from his patient heart
waiting for that tomorrow
when they'll will reach your heart

Of the songs I sing about her

I am only a messenger
carrying this message of love
