Jail Poem by Jamie Haddock

Jail

Rating: 5.0

I knew it was to late
After I'd had my court date
I don't know if it was fate
But now I'm a detainee of the state
No matter that this Jail I hate
If only I'd known my freedom was at stake
But now all I can do is sit here and wait
For the day I can exit this gate.

Your poem feels as if it is written from real life experience. If thats the case, it is a very brave write. Hope that part of your life is far behind you. Thank you for sharing. Kindest Regards Slim. x.
