Jaded Eyes Poem by Kevin Fix

Jaded Eyes

Rating: 5.0

</>As a child we learn
The sky's the limit
No dream too big
No star too distant

Where we once believed
That we could fly
We're grounded now
With jaded eyes

Our rocking horse
Became our steed
Our table tent
Where we were king

And imaginations
Soared in flight
Are grounded now
With jaded eyes

so true. As you grow up things are never what they seemed when you were little. I'm only seventeen and I'm seeing it already. Great poem
