Jacquelyn Poem by Travis Ciempa

Jacquelyn

I look at you with such interest.
You stare right back and look your best.
Always saying how ugly you are.
I smile at you even if I’m away so far.
I kissed you once and It didn’t feel right.
I’m glad I’m your friend, day and night.
Sometimes I watch you during the day.
Sometimes I can’t stand being so gay.
I am who I am and love it this way.
I love you Girl, and that won’t change.
No, that won’t change, not today.
