It Takes A Step Of Faith

It takes a step of faith to believe God's Word
But what a step in the right direction
You'll find out facts that you were always wondering about
From Christ's birth to His glorious Resurrection
Then there's the fact of sin
That we've inherited since the days of Adam
For by his disobedience we took on a sin nature
And unless it's changed we'll all be damned

There's serious consequences in disobedience
Man is the living proof of it
Bent on leaving God out of his life
He has no real deep joy in it
But on the other hand...praise God hallelujah!
By the determinate obedience of One
We can live a life in fellowship with
The Father, the Spirit, and the Son

The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sin
And took on sins full penalty
To bring us deliverance and a so great Salvation
That we'll enjoy for eternity
It takes a step of faith to believe it
And to trust in that life giving One
But when we repent and turn away from our sin
Our real living has just begun!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
