She's been gone for a while
Because of that, I've lost my smile
But yesterday she touched base
The smile returned to my face
The part of me that had died
Has slowly come back alive
At least I know that she's okay
To spread her joy another day
I realize how living every day
Can sometimes get in the way
Of expressing just how we feel
When feelings we should not conceal
When you have feelings for someone
Let them know before life is done
Let other's know what's in your heart
Especially if they are a part
Of your life and you value them
Share these feelings again and again
Because when the sun finally sets
Another chance we may not get
