It Is Finished Poem by Monjosie W

It Is Finished

It is finished!
As the rusty nails that gored through his flesh
became stale as he dealt with my mess,
The devil laughed and his followers smiled,
-thinking indeed...He is finished!
They did not realize that they were a part of His Plan,
Everything was being held by His Father's hand.
Father! Forgive Them! They know not what they have done!
For in their own eyes it was all garish fun,
It's a new race they started
-A new age has begun.
For,3 days after, His resurrected fame began,
It is Finished or so they thought He was finished
but has only just begun.
For if He created all things and knew all things,
that means the good and bad He controlled everything!
Then they argued is God evil or good,
For He can become Jealous
-An emotion easily misunderstood
Have we forgotten who we are?
Have we forgotten why we are here?
These old men called leaders
-the manufacturers of despair.
They allow themselves to be consumed by power,
seeking who they can devour,
Having the urge to fill that empty space...
Killing and hurting each other's race!
These old men don't want to die
So they are hurrying the apocalypse
-or so they think
believing that they are gods
when they are nothing but mere pawns to sin
Who am I? Who are they?
To Him we are everything
Hence, He sacrificed His son so we have a chance to be with Him.
It is Finished!
