Is God Alive? (1) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Is God Alive? (1)

“Does God live really in the sky?
Is all the bible true?
Did Jesus come on earth to die?
In place of me and you?

Why must yet people war and fight?
Why is there drought at large?
Why are children void of sight?
If Jesus Christ’s in charge?

Why does murder still persist?
Why is the world unjust?
Why can Satan, shake his fist?
If God; is so august? ”

“If God weren’t real; He’d fail to rule
Then Christ did not arise –1Co.15: 14
We live a lie and die a fool –1Co.15: 20
If life is not the prize

But God is true! He’s King of kings Rev.17: 14
Of this; should be no doubt
It’s man, who does the evil things
To bring God’s wrath about

It’s through our sin; we’re sick and old –1Co.11: 30
When self’s our only care –Rom-2: 5
But look how strange when lost and cold
We cry “Is God not there”?

Seek now! The Lord while grace is found –Isa.55: 6-7
Call out; when God’s at hand
Cast down all evil to the ground
Then righteous, walk the land

The book of Moses, number five –Deut.6: -
Explains the truth so clear –Deut.7: -
How man can live, and stay alive –Deut.8: -
When God, he learns to fear” –Deut.28: -…
