Irish Locals Poem by Ima Ryma

Irish Locals

On Paddy's Day in Ireland, we,
My kids and I, go to a pub.
It is a day for family
To enjoy lots of food and grub.
Not as religious as in past,
Not so rowdy, get drunk mindset,
Not many tourists in the cast.
We locals prefer to get
Together in a pub to do
Lots of singing of Irish song
In the spirit of good times new,
Sanity all Paddy's Day long.

Adults may pick up a pint of
Guinness to toast the Saint above.
