Invisible Girl Poem by Hailey Agnew

Invisible Girl

She spoke,
but her words disintegrated.
carried away,
taken by the wind.
She stood,
in a crowded room,
but she was not seen,
she had the invisible doom.
they passed her by,
and they did not look.
the world crashed down,
the ground shook.
she screamed and yelled,
she yelled for help.
but no one listened,
her voice would melt.
she sat in the corner,
crying rivers of pain.
but no one saw her,
no one came.
she sorrowed for years,
until she met him.
he spoke to her,
he said she looked dim.
depressed and lonely,
he helped her to her feet.
he talked to her all day,
even bought her ice cream.
he was understanding,
he was fun.
her life had been a storm,
and he was the sun.
when she wanted,
he would leave her alone,
he would let her be,
he would let her cry till she couldn't see.
in his arms,
she could see,
he was the one,
it was meant to be.
she was no longer,
the invisible girl.
now she was,
the invincible girl.
everything was okay in the end,
she only needed some time to mend,
a hand to hold,
and a loving friend.
