Investment Primer Poem by Long Tooth

Investment Primer

Rating: 5.0

To have love in your life
Is like being insured,
It's a good path to true peace of mind.
It can cut like a knife
But it leaves you assured
There's some covering for your behind!

And if love comes with debt,
You're investing in you,
Which is always a good place to be,
And like any asset,
Best to take the long view,
For the good stuff you rarely get free.

Still crown jewel of soul,
I can't say this enough,
Is the time you invest in God's word,
His, the heart to console,
For when going gets rough,
All He wants is to know He's been heard.

Though you think it's control,
He just wants you to win,
And your happiness all He desires,
Let Him walk with you, stroll
Down a path clear of sin,
Not convinced His ride's sweet? Kick the tires!

I withdrew all my money from two banks when I read the title, ready to take your advice. Now that I've read it, BEFORE acting after reading only a title, I NOW plan.....to think twice! Despite the content, and considering the 'topic', I generously give an 8. Bri :)

Well considering your response to my poem, that you plan to think twice in the future, I'd would say that this poem not only deserves a 10 but has had a nearly miraculous effect considering the reader! Ha!
