Invention

Our hope lies in what man invents
to make bread out of particle matter
at the flick of a switch,
a livable planet of Mars
and moons of Jupiter,
machines that are us
in all but the need for water.

Our needs are increasing
faster than efficiency and sense.
Our hope lies in what man invents.
