Into Unknown
We came to a cliff
that was so high
you could not see the bottom.
There we sat looking out into the wonder
for a time
deciding on what to do now.
You suddenly stood and stepped back
with the fright that I once had
when I came up here last.
looking at you,
saying goodbye with my eyes
I stood and jumped
I finally wanted to find
what was in the great unknown.
