I Worry Poem by Alece Woosley

I Worry

I know I shouldn't worry about him but I do.
I'm worried he won't fit in.
I'm worried that he is worried.
I can't stand to think he isn't deciding to fast.

If he comes home crying that he can't find a place.
If he isn't ready to be so alone.
If he discovers he is so tempted.
If he isn't on the right path.
If he doesn't understand.
I think he is on the right path
but what if he isn't, can someone help.

He may never find it.
He can't deal with the consequences.
He could get hurt.
He may run away.
He may be happy without.
I know I shouldn't worry about Him
but he is my big Brother.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My brother moved off to collage and we are extremely close. I wrote this on the way to our last football game in the band bus. He truly is a blessing to my life.

I do believe you for little sisters do worry about big brothers. I know because my daughter wrote a similar one about her big brother. Please read mine - I Worry Too - Adeline
