Into Her Poem by Jackson Riley

Into Her

Rating: 4.8

into her perfection I will plunge
(with naught but a flame,
and my indefatigable tongue.
then I’ll spin her spirit like a spider
spins itself a home)
as delicately as I lay beside her.

into her smile as disarming as a joke.
into her laughter as thrilling as the rain’s.

into her hair a forest of sleeping songbirds
(into which I can slip into sleep
as gracefully and easily as breeze into clouds) .
there’s nothing so high (on earth or in me)
it's not reached by the absolute deep-
ness of my love for her, her love for me, or our love for we.

into her eyes are as silent as daybreak.
into her heart is as certain as mountains.
